My name is Jason Skuby and I make a living as a System Administrator. In this line of work I come across many software packages that run the range from simple desktop utilities that make life a little easier, to corporate software suites and various server-based applications. This blog will serve to document my dealings with these various software offerings.
I tend to lean toward the open source products. Don’t get me wrong, I’m more than willing to entertain proprietary solutions when it’s makes sense. It just so happens that I’ve found many open source projects that have perfectly fit my needs and the results are what matters.
I’m also a hobbiest programmer. My language of choice is C# because it’s easy to pick up and start developing with and provides an enormous amount of functionality right “out of the box”. I have written a few programs which I have dedicated an area of this site to.
